Main Courses/ Activities

In pursuance of the objectives of the Institute, it organized a series of courses of different durations oriented towards the academic community including the Department of Gandhian Studies in Universities, workers among unorganized labour, workers of voluntary/grass root organizations, women, youth, students and other similar groups. Research and Publications

From the very inception of the Institute, its faculty has been engaged in study and research on various facets of Gandhi,s life, thought and methods of action and made significant contribution to the growing literature on Gandhiana. The faculty of the Institute has published books and contributed a number of articles in reputed journals, newspapers, magazines and books. ENERGY PARK The Institute has recently established the first District Level Renewable Energy Education Park in the campus of the Institute with the support of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. Under the Energy Park project, the Maharashtra Energy Development Agency has installed renewable energy systems like solar photovoltaic Street lights, Home lights, Lanterns, Educational Kit, Radio, Power Pack, Solar Thermal Water Heating Systems and Cookers, Biogas devices including improved Chullhas and kitchen waste based ARTI Bio Gas Plant. The Institute is trying to develop its campus as an eco-friendly model for energy conservation, and effective utilization of rain water through various methods.
